This is the most advanced study tool for nutrition students preparing for the Registration Exam for Dietitians and Dietetic Technicians! Updated for the 2022-2026 testing cycle! All Visual Veggies Software applications are created entirely by a Registered Dietitian!
This web app is intended for individual students who want to study for their exams on any device. Internet connection is required.
Please note: While Study Suite Anywhere can be used on any device, we do recommend using it on a larger-screen computer or tablet. At this time, the web app is not optimized for small-screen devices, such as phones and small tablets.
Subscription length for use depends on the one purchased. Choose between a 3-month, 6-month, and 12-month subscription. This one app allows you to choose content relevant to the RD Exam or DTR Exam.

Use Study Suite Anywhere on any device that is connected to the internet! With Study Suite Anywhere, you are not tied to using the software on just one computer. You have the freedom to start working on one device and then again later on another device!

Study Suite Anywhere is an all-inclusive app which contains several different learning methods for your test preparation, such as:
- Library: List of searchable topics and articles to read prior to practicing. Over 300 articles!
- Practice Exams: Multiple-choice tests with questions similar to the actual exam and explanations for each question. Over 1,100 questions!
- Whiteboard Video Tutorials: Follow along in various calculations and topics with step-by-step instructions. Over 100 videos!
- Matching: Match the term or phrase in one column to the term or phrase in another column. Over 100 categories!
- Flash Cards: Electronic set of flash cards without all the mess. Over 1,100 flash cards!
With Study Suite Anywhere, you have the choice as to how long you can access the web app. We offer three subscription length options:
- 3-month
- 6-month
- 12-month
We’ve found that when students purchase a study program on their own, they do so shortly before their exam, hence the 3-month option. Schools and internships tend to like students using a study platform over the course of a semester, year, or internship term, in which case, the 12-month option is ideal.
If your subscription is near expiring, you will have the ability to extend it by 1 month, 3 months, or 12 months. The subscription extensions must be ordered prior to the subscription expiring.
Study Suite Anywhere (the web app) is an addition to our product line and joins the Dietitian Exam Study Suite and the Diet Tech Exam Study Suite (both desktop programs) to give students a choice as to how they would like to study for their exams. While both the web app and the desktop software share many similarities, there are some differences between the two platforms:
Web App
- Can be used anywhere by logging into the website to access.
- Can choose how long you want access to the app.
- Can be used on devices not supported in the desktop app, such as iOS and Android tablets and Chromebook computers (an Android operating system).
- Database content changes are implemented immediately.
- No files to download.
- All-in-one package includes Library, Practice Exams, Videos, Matching, and Flash Cards as these have been identified as the most popular study modules amongst students.
- As with any website, internet connection is a factor. Web apps can appear sluggish on poor internet connections.
Desktop Software
- Can be used indefinitely, even after the update/support subscription expires.
- Has more to it in terms of features. Everything in the web app is present in the desktop version, but the desktop version also includes Study Sessions, Study Partner, Daily Weak Topics, Hanging with Nutrition, Abbreviations, and Blind Exams.
- Students may choose between different package levels, depending on what they need and want in a study guide.
- Internet connection is only required for the initial registration, watching videos, and contacting us through the software.
- The desktop version is limited to one computer, one user per license.
Study Suite Anywhere can be used, well, anywhere! Internet connection is required to use Study Suite Anywhere, so if your device is able to connect to the internet, it can be used to run the web app!
At first launch of Study Suite Anywhere, we focused mainly on supporting larger-screen devices. With that said, we do recommend using the app on a computer or larger tablet. While you can technically use the app on smartphones and smaller tablets, we do not recommend this at this time as the web app has not been optimized for smaller screens. Rest assured that we will soon be working on a solution to this!
Throughout the years, we’ve had students asking if they can use the Study Suite software on a Google Chromebook computer, and we’ve had to say, unfortunately not. Google Chromebook runs on the Android operating system, and our desktop Study Suite software is compatible only with Mac and Windows computers. Now, with Study Suite Anywhere, Google Chromebook users can study with the best!
Study Suite Anywhere covers both the RD Exam and the DTR Exam! When you first activate your license, you will need to choose whether you are studying for the RD Exam or the DTR Exam. The web app will show you relevant information based on the test you’re studying for!
If you made a mistake during the activation process and chose the wrong test, no problem! Simply click on Settings in the left navigation, change your test, and click Save Settings. And poof! You now have material specific to your exam!
Unfortunately not. We have a variety of subscription levels available (3, 6, and 12 months), and we recommend students choosing the appropriate subscription level for when they will be taking their Registration Exam. You can even add to your subscription with an extension for a reasonable cost. So if you purchase the 3-month subscription but need the app for 4 months, you can simply purchase a subscription extension for one month here.

The Academic Edition of the desktop Study Suite software has been discontinued with the launch of Study Suite Anywhere. This was a difficult decision but the right decision. The Academic Edition was a desktop software program that was used on campus by schools and internships. Similar to the Student Edition versions of the desktop software, the Academic Edition was limited to one computer, and students needed to come to campus to use the software. Ever since the pandemic, we’ve been asked by numerous schools and internships to make a web app and get rid of the desktop Academic Edition. Now students do not need to physically be at the one computer.
In addition to the increased flexibility of a web app over desktop software, some of the IT departments at schools had difficult times with the Academic Edition. The web app relieves IT department personnel to work on more serious matters, such as resetting instructors’ passwords. I jest. My hat’s off to those essential personnel in the academic settings, but in all seriousness, having a web app makes their job a lot easier.
While the Academic Edition is discontinued, there are still several schools and internships using this program. They will have the option to continue using the Academic Edition until their subscription expires, or they may choose to switch over students to the new web app. If you would like to switch, please contact us. We will continue to update the Academic Edition until the last school’s/internship’s subscription expires, which can take up to one year. This product is just no longer available to purchase.
